Dr. Taylor was born in Del Mar, California and attended local schools including Del Mar Hills Elementary School, Earl Warren Junior High School and Torrey Pines High School.  She traveled to the East Coast for college where she obtained her undergraduate degree from Yale University (1990-1994).  After spending one year abroad teaching school children in Guatemala, Dr. Taylor pursued her medical school education at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York (1995-1999).  Returning to the West Coast, she completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle (1999-2002).

Following her Pediatrics training, she began practicing General Pediatrics at various Community Health Centers in Seattle and then San Diego. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Taylor recognized the importance of guiding parents to understand their child’s typical and atypical development and behaviors.

She pursued her interest in childhood development under the direction of Dr. Martin Stein at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where she completed her fellowship training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.

Dr. Taylor currently works in several practice locations including her private Developmental-Behavioral Practice in Carmel Valley and the Developmental Clinic at San Ysidro Health.
